So if you’re looking for a new boiler system then you’ve probably heard of Vaillant as they are one of the top manufacturers in the UK and around the world. Their most popular range is the EcoTEC Plus range, which we’re looking at today but who is Vaillant as a company?
Today, we’re going to take a closer look at the ecoFIT Pure 825 combi boiler. So sit back, relax, and read on…
However, make sure to also look into what the best combi boiler is this year, so you can compare and see what best suits you and your household.
Vaillant is a part of the ever-growing Vaillant Group and is one of the most well-known and reliable boiler brands in the UK.
Their motto is “Vaillant thinks ahead” and represents their thirst for innovation and forward-thinking when it comes to boiler engineering advances.
They have some fantastically reliable boiler systems and are what we call the “top three manufacturers”, these being Worcester Bosch, Viessmann, and Vaillant. These are at the forefront of modern boiler manufacturing.
As a company, Vaillant currently employs 13,000 people around the world, and with an annual turnover of 2.5 billion euros, Vaillant is a powerhouse in boiler manufacturing.
The ecoFIT Pure range delivers great performance in a combi boiler system with almost instant hot water and a compact size with no need for separate cylinders or tanks.
Let’s look at some of the specs in more depth….

For a smaller home or apartment, this boiler system is perfect because of its size and efficiency. It is perfectly capable of heating your home while providing enough hot water
The hot water output rating on this Vaillant Boiler is 25.4kW and it delivers 10.5 litres of hot water per minute. This is enough to handle one bathroom at a time before you run out of hot water.
However, this will take a while to fill the average bath as the output is low compared to similarly priced systems. Bear this in mind if you have a larger or cast iron bath.
The heating output is only 19.6kW which is quite low but means it’s ideal to heat a 1-2 bedroom, home or apartment with only one bathroom being used at once. We’d suggest this for heating a home with a maximum of 10 radiators.
This Vaillant ecoFIT Pure825 is a stylishly designed unit with compact features that make it able to be installed in most kitchen cupboards. It will not, however, look out of place in the garage or out in the open. The easy to access control panel is also good for any servicing or keeping the system running optimally. The dimensions for all boilers in EcoTEC range is H 700 x W 390 x D 295 mm.
Vaillant has a standard 2 year warranty on this system which can be extended to 7 with the installation being performed by an accredited installer. We don’t like this model of warranty coverage and think it limits you when compared to manufacturers such as Viessmann.
We would expect any modern combi boiler manufacturer to offer a 5 year warranty as standard and would actually recommend the companies who offer 10.
Viessmann offers a 10 year standard warranty and if you choose Boiler Central as your boiler installation company, you can get an industry leading 12 year warranty!
If you are currently in the market for a new boiler system for your one to two bedroom apartment or home then this system could be right for you due to its compact size and efficiency. Our only gripe is with the warranty and having to use an accredited installer in order to activate the bigger warranty.
There are better alternatives according to our research such as the Viessmann Vitodens 050-W system with higher efficiency, a better warranty, and a more reliable system with a better stainless steel heat exchanger. This system would be far more reliable and easy to maintain, more affordable and save you money on your bills.
In terms of the Vaillant ecoFIT Pure 825, we’d rank this at a 6/10. Not a bad score, but again there are other systems that would outperform this and for a more affordable price.
