Is Heatline owned by the Vaillant Group?

They are indeed! So this should give you some further peace of mind that even though the Heatline Capriz2 is a budget-friendly boiler, it has the backing of a trusted manufacturer. This new boiler cost much less than a Vaillant boiler too.

Heatline themselves have now been in business for over fifty years so this is no newcomer to the boiler sector. They have a strong commitment to reducing their environmental impact and are holders of the ISO14001 Environmental Management System award since 2006.

Features of the Heatline Capriz 2 combi boiler

Grundfos modulating pump

Grundfos circulator pumps are well known for their high levels of efficiency combined with low maintenance requirements.

Compared to other makes they can reduce the amount of energy used by up to 80 % and so slash energy bills, delivering exactly what all customers want.

Customer reviews also mention their noise-free performance. This makes it perfect for when your combination boiler is fitted into an apartment or where you’re unable to have it located out of hearing range.

More information on the Grundfos pump can be found on their website link.

Heat exchanger made of automotive-grade aluminium

The heat exchanger within the boiler is responsible for heating the water to be delivered to the taps and the central heating system.

Components such as this are ones that need to be built with top quality materials and that’s exactly what Heatline achieves by using automotive-grade aluminium in the Capriz 2.

Compact and lightweight

The Capriz measures just 740mm high by 418mm wide and 300mm deep. That makes it a great choice to fit into a kitchen cupboard and provides lots of options when it comes to the interior design of your home.

When it comes to lifting the unit into position for installation, it weighs in at 33.3kg.

High efficiency, ERP A rated boiler

The Energy Savings Trust state that over half of what we spend on energy bills is down to supplying heating and hot water in the home.

When you calculate exactly what that figure is, you can see that it’s essential that customers choosing a combination boiler, need one with high levels of efficiency.

ERP stands for energy-related products and comes from the ERP Directive. As an ERP A-rated boiler, the Heatline Capriz2 is one of the most efficient new boilers currently available.

That makes it an excellent choice to:

  1. Cut energy bills
  2. Reduce the amount of natural gas used
  3. Reduce carbon emissions

Heatline parts and labour warranty

Heatline offers a two-year warranty on the Capriz 2 24c and that covers both parts and labour. Now, we have to say that this is substantially less than many other manufacturers offer, but the purchase price is much lower too.

If you’re tempted by the Heatline Capriz 2 but concerned about the parts and labour warranty length, then don’t forget that you could take out a service plan that will provide extended cover.

Is the Heatline Capriz good value for money?

At around £500 for the boiler itself, the Heatline Capriz2 combi boiler is perfect for when the new boiler cost is an important factor. Despite that price point the Capriz still gets great customer reviews and it comes highly recommended by several suppliers.

Don’t forget though that you’ll also need to pay for the boiler to be installed. If you need help with the cost of a new boiler, you can also get a new boiler on finance to help spread the cost with small monthly repayments.

Does a gas engineer need to install a Heatline Capriz boiler?

It’s a legal requirement that a Gas Safe engineer fits a new boiler for you. In fact, any work that requires the casing to be removed from the boiler will require a suitably qualified and registered professional to complete the work.

So, that includes jobs such as fixing a fault, servicing, and the original install.

Unfortunately, there are tradesmen who will operate without the necessary accreditation to work with natural gas appliances.

They may not use the correct tools to work on your boiler or fully understand the processes to safely work with natural gas. They may also sell you a boiler that really doesn’t meet your requirements.

Checking the Gas Safe Register is a sensible step, it’s quick and easy and there’s no need to set up an account to access the information.

While natural gas is a safe fuel, it’s essential that boilers are fitted according to the manufacturer’s requirements. Thankfully when you order your combi boiler through us, you don’t need to worry about the engineer’s credentials.

Comparing Heatline Capriz Reviews

It can be tempting to make decisions purely based on the reviews left by other customers. While reviews can be helpful and provide an insight into other people’s experiences, they don’t always tell the full story.

After all, we tend to leave reviews when things don’t go to plan but forget to leave a positive review when everything was okay.

So, when wondering ‘was this review helpful’ in your decision-making process, do also check:

  • Does the manufacturer contact the client to quickly resolve issues
  • Can you easily find a valid email address to get in touch with customer support
  • Does the manufacturer provide answers to queries quickly and efficiently?

Register your Heatline Capriz combi boiler warranty

Once your boiler is in place it’s important to protect the warranty by ensuring that it’s registered with Heatline. Sometimes this is done by the engineer but you can also complete the details through the manufacturer’s website.

All that’s required is to enter the customer details including the house address and postcode, the installing engineer’s details, and the boiler serial number. And of course, the date that the fitting was carried out.

There are some requirements of the warranty that you should be aware of:

Boiler stock life

Heatline will only accept warranty registrations for boilers that have been delivered out of stock for no longer than six months.

While the installing engineer will be aware of this, if you’re buying the unit yourself and then arranging the delivery, make sure you check with sellers how old the stock is.

Don’t be tempted to save money by buying old stock! And actually, you could save yourself having to even think about stock age by arranging delivery and the installation all at the same time as getting a new boiler quote.

Heatline Capriz day installation

When your combi boiler has broken down, then knowing what the next delivery date is for your new model is essential.

The last thing you want to do is to search for the right model only to then get the customer service department to tell you that delivery will be in three weeks’ time or that delivery to your location takes longer.

That’s why we’ve put the tools within our new boiler quote process that allows you to first of all search for the perfect new boiler based on your needs and then book installation as one seamless process.
