Welcome to Compare Boiler Quotes Reviews.
As we always say, we are on our mission to review the available boiler manufacturers in the UK and what they offer.
It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to do it. We want to make sure you get the best information on each boiler manufacturer so you can make the best decision on your new boiler.
Therefore, today we bring you another little-known company that produces oil boilers, Firebird Boilers. So, let’s take a look at the company, their boilers, the pricing, and a conclusion of them as a whole.
Firebird boilers are known as market-leading manufacturers of reliable heating products with a proven track record built on the global supply of heating systems.
Established in Ireland in 1980, the Firebird name has become synonymous with performance, quality, and innovative design.
Firebird now builds and provides energy-efficient heating solutions that not only meet but easily exceed today’s stringent legislative requirements such as the SEDBUK 2009 regulations.Â
Although they are often known as only an oil-fired boiler manufacturer, they now have offered additional of renewable heating options.
These include air source heat pumps, biomass boilers, and stoves, together with solar thermal systems, which now enable Firebird to offer a total heating solutions package.
Firebird products are designed to achieve the highest possible levels of efficiency so they not only provide a heating solution that is cost-effective but one that will stand the test of time.
They also have a large range of options with over 70 models available in outputs from 12kW to 100kW.Â
This means that Firebird offers the most comprehensive range of oil-fired boilers available for internal, external and boiler house applications.
Firebird products are all built while adhering to the highest quality standards including ISO 9001: 2008. Firebird creates highly advanced products with the latest CAD/CAM technology to design and program all component parts and use state-of-the-art ABB robotic technology for welding, folding and painting operations.
If you’re looking for an oil-fired boiler or an off-grid heating system, then Firebird could be the option for you.Â
Firebirds have combi and system-type oil-fired boilers. Let’s take a look at their range.Â
Firstly, we’ll look at our recommended inside oil-fired combi boiler.
The Envirogreen Slimline C26 is a condensing oil-fired combi boiler which is an internal boiler, being installed inside the home as opposed to outside with their alternative model.Â
This Slimline C26 has an efficiency rating of 93% which is excellent and an ErP rating of A for both heating and B for hot water with an incredibly high flow rate of over 16L/min!
The 26kW output rating is ideal for averaged sized UK homes that don’t have such an excessive need for heating and hot water. We’d recommend this for 1-3 bedroom homes.
The Envirogreen Slimline boiler range has a number of different outputs to suit any size UK home. There’s a 20 kW unit for lower heating and hot water demand and also 35 kW or 44 kW models for larger homes.
This unit has front access, making them simple to install and service.
The only issue we have as with other boilers with this feature is the low 2 year standard warranty. We prefer to see at least a 5 year warranty on any system.
Next, we will be looking at our recommended System Boiler in their range.Â
The Envirogreen Kitchen C26 is a condensing regular oil boiler which has been designed and built for installation underneath a standard kitchen worktop.Â
What we like about this system and all firebird’s systems is that it is an efficient boiler, with the efficiency rating being a fantastic 93% and ErP A-rating for heat and the output rating of 26 kW making it perfect for medium-sized homes.
This range is also available in every size to suit each home. With 18 kW, 20 kW and 36 kW models available, they really have everyone covered. Â
The main feature of the Firebird system is that they have such a low NOx or blue flame burner option with full insulation and advanced acoustic design. This gives it ultra-quiet operation.
It also has front service access for easy maintenance and a PCB controller with highly accurate thermistors.
Overall, you can’t go wrong with the Firebird Boilers as a great option for oil boilers.Â
If you want a traditional combi boiler then we would recommend the Viessmann Vitodens 050-W and Viessmann Vitodens 100-W. Additonally, check out comprehensive review of Viessmann boilers and prices to find other options in their range that might be suited to your home.Â
