Here is some great information on this boiler to see if the Worcester 2000 boiler is right for your home.

If you’ve got a little bit more money to spend why not consider the Worcester 4000 combi boiler with the extra warranty too?

How big is the Worcester Bosch 2000?

Worcester Bosch 2000 size

How noisy is the Worcester Bosch 2000 combi?

At just 43 Decibels it is Worcesters quietest combi boiler, which is great if you intend on replacing a boiler that is in a kitchen cupboard or near living space.

No noisy boiler whirring away whilst you watch that tense thriller on a winter’s night.

How energy efficient is the Worcester Bosch 2000 combi boiler?

The Worcester 2000 is available in 2 different outputs – 25kw & 30kw

Deciding on whether or not these combi boilers are right for your home essentially comes down to whether they can cope with the hot water demand.

This is where the number of radiators, occupants, and bathrooms really need to be taken into consideration.

The Worcester Bosch 2000 range comes in 2 different outputs – 25kw and 30kw.

If you need something more powerful you would have to look at the Worcester Bosch 8000 combi boiler that goes right up to 50kW!

Worcester Bosch 2000 25kW combi boiler

Trustpilot

This combi boiler will be better suited to smaller homes with lower hot water demand.

This would usually include up to 4 occupants with one bathroom and around 10 radiators.

Basically, this is the less powerful of the two, so any more than this it may struggle to keep the hot water as hot as you want it to be at the taps and radiators further away from the boiler.

Worcester Bosch 2000 30kW combi boiler

These combi boilers are more powerful, therefore are suited for small to medium-sized homes with increased demand.

As they are combi boilers, both will struggle to run 2 bathrooms at once, so we suggest that you consider a different type of boiler such as a system boiler if there is potential for 2 showers or baths to be running at once, due to system boiler’s tanks allowing them to run for multiple rather than one bathroom.

Best Worcester Bosch 2000 combi boiler design features & controls

Whilst just saying that the Worcester 2000 boiler is a great boiler is all good and well, let’s take a look at some of the main features that make them what they are.

The C6 heat exchangers

The Worcester 2000 has been hit with a brand new heat exchanger which is a development on their legendary WB3 heat exchange which has warmed homes for years.

This part of the boiler comes with a ten-year guarantee! To help save the environment, this heat exchanger can modulate right down to 4.8kW too.

Quick tap feature to save water

boiler parts

This is a new feature that means a customer can open one of their taps and close it straight away, which triggers the boiler into action.

30 seconds later the boiler will have hot water instantly ready. No need to run the tap and wastewater putting your finger under to test it!

Easy access with removable side panels

Not really an interesting feature, but should you ever have any issues with your boiler at least you know the Gas Safe engineer will be able to easily access your boiler.

The parts are also made to be easily removed and replaced should they ever need to be!

Intelligent filling system

These Worcester Bosch boilers also have a filling system that can maintain your boiler pressure without you having to constantly check and worry about it, or do it manually. This intelligent system is one of the things that makes this boiler brand so good.

Boiler controls & thermostats

thermostats

Probably the most important bit! being able to change your settings, increase the temperature of your home and set timers is the most common use of any boiler.

The Worcester 2000 can be used with the wireless Bosch EasyControl smart thermostat or any of their other wireless thermostats such as the Comfort+ II.

These are all covered with the Worcester 2000 warranty guarantee.

Worcester 2000 boiler warranty

The Worcester Bosch 2000 combi boiler comes with a standard 5 years warranty. So if you have any Worcester boiler problems you are covered for this period.

Your boiler cover will mean your should your Worcester boiler have any issues going forward, an engineer can be sent out to repair or replace parts if need be. However, if your combination boiler is broken beyond repair, you will have to look into getting a replacement boiler.

In the combi boiler world, this isn’t that great considering that there are many boilers, especially Worcester Bosch ones that come with a standard 10-year warranty or guarantee, which can be extended to 12 years.

6 year guarantee

These longer warranties are obviously reflected in the price you pay for other boilers such as the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 which is about £200 more or the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 which is about £700 more.

You can extend your Worcester Bosch 2000 warranty to 6 years by adding a Greenstar System Filter to your boiler installation, but we don’t think that still quite cuts it.

Worcester Bosch 2000 – Our review & conclusion

Is the Worcester Bosch 2000 combi boiler a good boiler? Yes.

Is it a great boiler? Yes.

Is it value for money? Most definitely.

When all these things are taken into consideration it all boils down to what is the best combi boiler for your home.

If you have small and medium homes, an apartment, or something similar, then this might just be the perfect boiler for your home.

It’s probably the best boiler in the budget boiler price range, and it’s a Worcester Bosch, so you know it will be built properly even with the new boiler cost being at the lower end of the market.

Other boilers & manufacturers to consider

There are cheaper boilers such as the Alpha E-Tec which comes with a longer warranty for over £100 less, but it’s not from a top manufacturer.

On the other hand, there is the Viessmann Vitodens 050-W combi boiler.

Viessmann boiler engineers superb boilers and the Vitodens 050 is bang there when compared to the Worcester 2000 and it comes with a longer warranty – 10 years!

The Viessmann is slightly more expensive than the Worcester, but for 4 more years of stress-free heating, it could be worth it! Read our Viessmann boiler prices guide for more information.
