What Is Rugby League Cares All About?

We’re proud to announce that Green Central is the Principal Sponsor of DC2NYC, the flagship fundraising challenge organised by Rugby League Cares—a charity that’s close to our hearts and closely aligned with our values.

This September, a team of around 20 fundraisers will set off on an incredible journey across the United States, cycling from Washington D.C. to New York City to raise money for RL Cares.

The event, now officially titled DC2NYC in Partnership with Green Central, is the charity’s biggest fundraising initiative of the year, and we’re honoured to play such a key role.

The group of riders includes Rugby League Hall of Fame greats Adrian Morley and Paul Sculthorpe MBE, alongside our own Managing Director, James Elston.

A former professional rugby league player with York and Dewsbury, James has taken part in every RL Cares cycling challenge since the first Ride to Wembley in 2017—and he’s set to continue that proud tradition.
